Chup

Chup is the main character in The Snack World anime and manga. He is voiced by. Chup's name comes from the word ketchup, falling with the main character food naming motif.

Anime

In the anime, Chup is on a quest to avenge his mother, who was killed in a village fire by Vinegar. 

The Snack World Trejarers

Chup and his friends appear in The Snack World Trejarers as recurring characters. He is seen in every chapter to talk with the player. In one of the tutorial chapters, the player can choose Chup to be his companion to fight of monsters. Chup's Snack can be obtained in a post game sidequest to assist the player in battle. Chup is a Friend type monster who uses a sword to fight.

Manga

Chup is the main character in the manga, which is very similar to the anime. His body is often drawn over exaggerated to create visual gags, such as his hair being fake. 

Personality

Chup often quotes very specific phrases from his grandmother, with words appearing on screen to accompany it.  He often shouts out the name of his attacks.

Equipment

Like every adventurer, Chup is equipped with a Fairypon to summon monsters and weapons using Snacks and Jaras, respectively. Chup is usually the first person to get a monster's Snack in the anime.
